New World is a small Housing Association working in South
London with our offices in Balham. Originally set up as a BME
association catering for the Vietnamese and Chinese communities, New
World operates now as a community based association open to all.
We have around 400 homes in ownership and an annual turnover of around £3million.
We are recruiting new Board members to help us continue to drive our focus on transforming our services, deliver value for money and provide an outstanding customer experience. Having doubled in size in recent years, we are ambitious and want to continue to develop new housing.
Your background could be drawn from any sector but as a team player you will have the values, passion and ability to make a positive contribution.
This is a challenging and exciting time in housing, so if you really want to make a difference, we would like to hear from you.
The board has recently been working with an independent consultant to look at remuneration going forward and, whilst the level has not been set yet, it will become a paid position in the near future. The board meets four times a year, with occasional additional meetings and away days.
